PSNI Appeal Following Serious Assault In Newtownabbey
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a serious assault in the Tynan Drive area of Newtownabbey on Friday 20th January.
Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Boyd said: "Police received a report shortly after 11.40pm that a man had been knocked unconscious in the street, and had suffered substantial injuries to his head.
"The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and remains in a serious condition.
"A 27-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, and witnessed what happened, or who may have mobile footage or information that could help with our investigation, to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1945 of 20/01/23."

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Rostrevor on Sunday, 31 March. At around 9pm, police received a report that man, aged in his 20s, had received serious head injuries after he fell to the ground following an altercation at a licensed premises in the Bridge Street area.

Man In Critical Condition Following Collision Outside Larne
A man remains in a critical condition in hospital following a serious road traffic collision on the A8, outside Larne, on Saturday, 21 October. The PSNI, along with other emergency services colleagues, responded to a report of a collision shortly after 3pm. A small blue car and tractor were involved in the crash, just outside Ballynure village.
