PSNI Investigate Reports Of Man With A Handgun In North Belfast
An investigation has been launching following reports of a man armed with a suspected handgun in the Glenrosa Link area of North Belfast on Thursday 19 January.
Making an appeal for information, Detective Sergeant Young said: "Shortly before 1am, it was reported a man was in the area armed with a firearm. It is believed the man approached a property in the area and spoke to the male occupant inside. The man then left the area with another man. There were no reports of the firearm, believed to be a suspected handgun, being discharged during the incident.
"The man armed with the suspected handgun is described as being 6ft in height, slim build and wearing a dark coloured hooded top and dark coloured bottoms. It was also reported the man was wearing a blue facemask. The second man is described as wearing a dark coloured puffa style coat and dark coloured bottoms.
"Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone with any information or may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 47 19/01/23. Alternatively, you can submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ . A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
