Drugs Worth £25,000 Seized In Banbridge
A quantity of suspected class A controlled drugs, with an estimated street value of £25,000, has been seized during a search operation in Banbridge on Saturday 31 December.
Inspector Campbell said: "At approximately 4.15pm, police noticed a blue Ford Focus car that was travelling at excess speed in the Drumsallagh Road area of the town.
"Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver and passenger, before they made off from the scene.
"Following a pursuit, the area was searched and the drugs were recovered.
"Efforts are ongoing to locate the two men who were travelling in the car.
"As a result of the search, over £25,000 of suspected Class A controlled drugs are now safely off our streets.
"Drugs have no place in our community and I am making a direct appeal to anyone with information about the illicit supply, possession or misuse of drugs. £25,000 worth of cannabis seized in Co Antrim
A man has been arrested after more than £25,000 worth of cannabis was seized during a search of a house in Co Antrim. More than thirty cannabis plants and 0.5kg of cannabis resin worth an estimated were seized from the house on the Ballymena Road, Ballymena. A handgun and equipment used for growing cannabis plants were also found during the search.

Fifty jobs to go as frozen chip factory closes
Slim margins from the competitive supermarket retailer sector were being blamed today after a Co Antrim frozen chip processing factory announced it is to close with the loss of 50 jobs. Management at Glenfarm Holdings' plant in Ballymoney said it was closing because of "competitive pressures".

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested after police seized £25,000 worth of cannabis plants in Belfast. Officers also found a quantity of herbal cannabis at an address in the Custom House Square area on Tuesday, 02 August. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences in north Belfast.

Almost £21m Announced For Over 850 NI Manufacturers
Almost £21 million in further Covid grants are being issued to over 850 manufacturing businesses later this week. The one-off £25,000 grant is an automatic payment being made to manufacturing businesses operating from commercial premises with a Net Annual Value (NAV) between £15,001 and £51,000.
