Appeal For Help To Trace The Whereabouts Of Glen Allen

The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in locating 34-year-old Glen Allen, who is currently unlawfully at large.

Allen was convicted in relation to murder following an incident in June 2008 and has since breached the conditions of his temporary prison release.

He is described as being approximately 5 ft 11 ins in height, of medium build, and has a fresh complexion. He has blue eyes, dirty fair hair, and scars on his right hand, his left finger, and his knee.

Despite attempts to arrest Glen Allen, police have so far been unable to locate him.

Police are appealing to anyone who has seen him, or who knows of his whereabouts, not to approach him, but to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1452 of 14/12/22.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous.

Police would also appeal directly to Glen to hand himself in.

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle
Two police officers and a civilian remain in hospital following a collision in Newry on Saturday, 13 April. It is understood that the police officers were travelling in a police vehicle to attend a separate incident at about 7.30pm when they collided with another vehicle on the Fathom Road.

NI Man Jailed For Use Of Criminal Encrypted Communication Channel
A 44-year-old man has been sentenced to a total of 12 years for offences linked to EncroChat – an encrypted communication channel used by criminals. Michael O'Loughlin was arrested in 2020 following the search of a property as part of Operation Venetic, a UK wide operation by the National Crime Agency (NCA) designed to "dismantle EncroChat".
