Renewed Appeal For Information On Mark Lovell Murder

The PSNI has renewed an appeal for information and witnesses to the murder of Mark Lovell in Newry.

A 28-year-old man arrested on Monday 12 December by detectives investigating the murder has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

Mr Lovell (58) was murdered in Ardcarn Park, Newry, on the evening of Thursday 1 December.

Detectives continue to ask anyone with information about the murder to contact them by calling 101, quoting reference number 1600 of 01/12/22.

Renewed Appeal For Information On Shooting Death In Newry
The PSNI has named the man shot dead in Newry on Thursday 01 December as 58-year-old Mark Lovell. Mr Lovell was shot a number of times, at close range, whilst inside his car near his home in Ardcarn Park just after 6pm.

Two Men Arrested Over Murder Of Mark Lovell
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of Mark Lovell in Newry. The 58-year-old was shot several times at close range in his car near the Ardcarn Park area on 01 December. Two men, aged 45 and 40, have been detained in police custody. The arrests followed searches of properties in the Newry area on Wednesday, 07 December.

Renewed Appeal For Information On Patrick Devine Murder
The PSNI have a renewed appeal for information on the 2004 murder of Patrick Devine in Claudy. Marking the 20th anniversary of the murder, the appeal is backed by a reward of up to £20,000 from the charity Crimestoppers.
