Appeal For Information On Serious Collision On Castlewellan Road

The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses and information following a serious three-vehicle road traffic collision on the Castlewellan Road outside Clough.

Making the appeal, Inspector MacDonald said: "Police received a report shortly after 4.15pm on Tuesday, 29th November that a collision had occurred between a Kia Picanto, Mini Copper and Renault HGV lorry.

"Officers attended the scene along with our colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, Air Ambulance and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.

"Three people were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries. One person remains in a critical condition at this time. The Castlewellan Road has since reopened to traffic.

"Our investigation is now underway to establish the circumstances of the collision. We would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened or who may have dash-cam footage to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1313 of 29/11/22."

Fresh Appeal Over Fatal Collision In Banbridge
Police have renewed their appeal for information in connection with a fatal collision in Banbridge, Co Down. Gary Hamilton, aged 27, was killed on the Castlewellan Road when his motorbike was involved in a crash at around 9.45am on Sunday, 08 July.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Lurgan on Tuesday 25th October. Making the appeal, Sgt Innes said: "A report was received shortly after 1.40pm that a collision had occurred on the Antrim Road, near Lurgan Park, involving one vehicle and a pedestrian.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
