Action Plan To Support EV Infrastructure Across NI Published

A new Action Plan for infrastructure developments required to support Electric Vehicles across NI has been published by the Department for Infrastructure.

The Action Plan was developed by the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Task-Force which was set up in December 2021 to bring together representatives from government, consumers, energy providers, industry and EV drivers to consider our EV Infrastructure requirements to deliver a fit for purpose, modern EV charging network.

Increased provision of charging infrastructure and operators, the cost of charging and how to pay for charging have been highlighted as fundamental issues which need to be addressed now for people wanting to make the transition from petrol and diesel to electric vehicles.

The Electric Vehicle Action Plan for NI is available here.
