Woman Arrested In Connection With Carrickfergus Drug Seizure
A quantity of suspected Class A and Class B controlled drugs have been seized in a Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) operation in the Edenvale Avenue area of Carrickfergus.
A quantity of suspected cannabis edibles and sum of cash was also recovered during the search.
Detective Chief Inspector Avine Kelly said: "A 32-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possessing criminal property.
"She remains in custody at this time and our investigation is at an early stage.
"The PCTF will continue to work with our Mid and East Antrim District Commander and local Police colleagues to tackle the supply, use and harm caused by illegal drugs through organised criminals.
"The support of local people is essential in helping us to remove illegal drugs from our streets and put those who seek to profit from them in prison.
"I would urge anyone with information or concerns about the supply or use of illegal drugs to contact police on 101 or to submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/."

The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of thirteen men and one woman in connection with an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. The defendants were sentenced over the five-week period, from 11 January to 16 February, at Belfast Crown Court.

A 38-year-old man has been jailed in connection with the largest single drug seizure by the PSNI. At Belfast Crown Court, Andrew Stafford pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

Three Charged Over Sudden Deaths In Lisburn
Three people have been charged following an investigation into the sudden deaths of two men in the Lisburn area, in May and August of 2023. A 35-year-old woman has been charged with a number of drug-related offences, including being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug, and administering poison to aggrieve.
