SF Condemn DUP's 'Sustained Attacks' On Academic Lawyer
Sinn Féin vice-president and First Minister Delegate, Michelle O'Neill, has accused the DUP of carrying out "sustained attacks" against eminent academic lawyer, Professor Colin Harvey.
O'Neill said: "The academic credibility of local academics teaching at Queen's University who are engaged in research around Brexit and exploring constitutional futures, have wrongly come under attack from senior DUP politicians, and some loyalists.
"Most notable has been the sustained and deplorable attacks directed towards the head of the Queen's human rights centre, Professor Colin Harvey.
"As far back as 2019 the graduate body at Queen's University itself unanimously passed a motion condemning these attacks on university staff, and supporting their academic freedom without fear of placing themselves in jeopardy.
"Three years on we now have the United Nations speaking out against these attacks from some politicians and journalists. They have said that the ongoing smear campaign against the academic has the potential to spark physical violence.
"This cannot be taken lightly. There is an onus on the PSNI to investigate the matter, and also ensure Mr Harvey's personal safety.
"These attacks are dangerous and must end."

Orange Hall Attacked In Dungannon
Police have launched an investigation after an Orange Hall was attacked in Dungannon. Paint was thrown at the Orange Hall sometime between 6pm on Saturday, 10 March, and 11am on Sunday, 11 March. Paint damage was caused to the front of the building and the steps and entrance were also damaged.

Man And Woman Shot In West Belfast
A man and woman, aged in their 50s, have been shot in the legs in west Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Norglen Parade shortly after 6.15pm on Thursday, 12 January. The victims, understood to be husband and wife, were taken to hospital to be treated, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Heart attacks kill six people in Northern Ireland every week, according to research by the British Heart Foundation (BHF). 314 people aged under 65 died from heart failure last year. In 2013/14, there were 5,400 heart attacks treated in Northern Ireland hospitals. This figure has risen from 4,600 the year before.

Men Arrested Over Graveyard Vandalism
Six men have been arrested after headstones were vandalised at a graveyard on the Drum Road in Cookstown, County Tyrone, in an attack that police have described as a "hate crime". The gravestones were scraped and sprayed with sectarian graffiti in the overnight attack.

A decision is due over the weekend as to the location of the 2013 All-Ireland Fleadh. The decision will be revealed in Dublin on Saturday when members of the 31-strong central executive of Comhaltas cast their vote. In the running are Londonderry, Sligo and Ennis.
