Appeal For Information On South Belfast Aggravated Burglary
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following the report of an aggravated burglary in south Belfast on the afternoon of Friday 28th October.
Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant McVeagh said: "At approximately 2.45pm, a number of masked men entered a property through the back door in the McAuley Street area.
"A male occupant of the property sustained a cut to his head with a bladed instrument as the suspects made their way into the house. He also suffered an injury to his hand.
"The suspects then made off with a sum of cash and a quantity of prescription medication.
"This was a terrifying experience for the occupant of the property who required medical treatment for his injuries. Our investigation is now underway to establish what happened, who was involved and a motive.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, and saw anything suspicious, to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1477 of 28/10/22."
Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
