Appeal Issued After Series Of Burglaries Across Ballymena
The PSNI in Ballymena have issued an appeal for information as detectives launch an investigation into a series of recent rural crimes where a number of high-value items were reported stolen from properties in the area.
Detective Sergeant Macaulay said: "It was reported on Tuesday 18th October that sometime overnight a white Volkswagen Transporter van and a 16 feet triaxle Nugent trailer were stolen from an address in the Killagan Road area of Glarryford.
"A number of other items were also taken, including two concrete saws and a Kabuta generator.
"On Tuesday 20th October a report was received of a theft of a generator from a property in the Tullykittagh Road area of Clogh. It is believed that this occurred sometime between midnight and 6.20pm.
"It was further reported that sometime between 5.30pm on Friday 21st October and 12pm on Saturday 22nd October, items were stolen from another address in the Tullykittagh Road area.
"The items stolen include an Ivor Williams trailer, three trailer digger buckets, an Atlas Copco rock hammer and an Arbo Cut 2000 hedge cutter.
"Our enquiries are ongoing into these incidents, which we cannot rule out as being linked, and I would appeal to anyone who may have information to contact us on 101 quoting reference 1542 of 20/10/22."

A1 Reopens After Lorry Fire
The A1 is now open following a lorry blaze close to the coach works at Banbridge Road, Dromore, this morning. It was closed in both directions after the driver reported smelling fumes from his cab and pulling over to find the vehicle in flames. No one was hurt in the incident. The road is now fully open.

Drive-by attack victim critical
Gardai in Dublin have found a burned out car which they believe was used in a drive-by shooting in the north of the city this morning (Friday). A 24-year-old is in a critical condition in hospital following the shooting which took place shortly after midnight.

The PSNI has issued an appeal for witnesses to a break-in that happened in broad daylight after valuables were stolen from a north Belfast home. It is believed the home in Cooldarragh Park was broken into between 12 o'clock and 3pm on Wednesday 19 December.

Items Stolen From Co Down High School
Thieves have broken into a high school in County Down. Two laptop computers and a number of tools were stolen from Movilla High School on Newtownard's Donaghadee Road, between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Windows were forced open at the back of the building where the items were stolen.
