New Creative Arts Centre Opens
Education Minister Michelle McIlveen has officially opened the new Centre of Excellence for Creative and Expressive Arts at St Louis Grammar School, Ballymena.
The Centre includes facilities for music, drama, art, moving image and media studies with additional space for an ICT Suite and Sixth Form Centre.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Minister said: "This is a great day for everyone at St Louis Grammar and the wider Ballymena area. I am confident this impressive new Creative and Expressive Arts Centre will enhance the learning environment for the whole school community.
"The significant investment of £4.5million has created a fantastic new Centre equipped with modern and high-quality facilities, which I know will be enjoyed by pupils for many generations to come.
"I would like to acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved in this project, including the past and present school staff, Governors, consultants, contractors, and officials. I want to wish everyone associated with the school every success for the future."

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, as the snow is continuing to affect many roads. Areas which have been majorly disrupted include Lisburn, Castlereagh and Carryduff.

Derry City retailers prepare for €uro countdown
As part of the drive to ensure Derry city shops are ‘Euro-friendly’ by January 1, 2002, retailers are being encouraged to participate in advice seminars. Organised by City Centre Initiative and the North West Institute of Further & Higher Education, each seminar aims to advise retailers on currency exchange rates, cash handling and dual pricing.

The first school to be completed on the Strule Education Campus has been unveiled in Omagh, Co Tyrone. Arvalee School and Resource Centre has been described as a "new era" for shared education in the area and officially opened in September 2016.
