Appeal For Information After Graffiti Targets James Nesbitt

The PSNI in Coleraine have issued an appeal for information following reports of graffiti targeting actor James Nesbitt on a wall in the Bushmills Road area of Portrush.

According to reports, the graffiti referenced the NI actor next to a crosshair. It is believed that the graffiti is related to Mr Nesbitt's political views and comes a week after he addressed a forum in Dublin discussing a united Ireland.

The graffiti is believed to have been written on the wall sometime between 5pm on Tuesday and 7.30pm on Wednesday evening and is being treated as a hate crime.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers would ask anyone with any information to contact them in Coleraine on 101, quoting reference number 1677 19/10/22. Sectarian Graffiti Threatening Workers Daubed On Wall In West Belfast
The Alliance Party has hit out after sectarian graffiti threatening workers was daubed on a wall in west Belfast. The graffiti was scrawled across a wall at Millennium Way, close to the Caterpillar plant. MLA Stewart Dickson condemned the attack and said it "will not be tolerated".

Appeal Following Arson Attack In Ballymena
Police are investigating an arson attack in Ballymena in the early hours of Friday morning. Officers were called to reports of a fire in the Dunclug Park area at around 2.45am. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but a carport, two cars, and several tools were extensively damaged. A third car was also damaged.

The PSNI in Portrush have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fire in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 04 May. At around 2.40am this morning, emergency services were called to reports of a fire in the Glentaisie Park area.
