Trio Of Vehicles Set On Fire In Carrickfergus
A trio of vehicles have been set on fire in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.
Just after 3am on Wednesday, 05 October, three vehicles parked outside a property in the North Road area were set on fire.
The PSNI and the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended the scene, extinguished the fire and two people were evacuated from the property.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Inspector Adrian Bryant said: "We are making enquiries in the area and we're appealing to anyone with information about this incident to get in touch with us.
"We'd also be keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in this area around this time and saw any suspicious activity to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 93 of 5/10/22."

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Vehicles Vandalised In South Belfast
Jerusalem Street in the Holylands area of Belfast remains sealed off this morning after vandals set fire to a number of cars. Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were called shortly after 3.30am to the area, where they found two vehicles had been completely burnt out and another extensively damaged after being set on fire. Earlier, at around 10.

NI's Chief Fire Officer Announces His Retirement
The Chief Fire Officer for Northern Ireland, Peter Craig, has announced that he is to retire after over 35 years of distinguished Service. Peter Craig is one of the longest serving officers in Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and was appointed as Chief Fire Officer in February 2011, having been the acting Chief from July 2010.

UK-Born Limerick Fireman Compensated
An English-born firefighter has been awarded €5,000 in compensation for discrimination by Limerick City Council. An Equality Tribunal heard Martin Mannering, now living in Cappamore, Co Limerick was left a note to leave his job because he was no longer "in Middlesbrough".
