Man Arrested In Connection With Newtownabbey Stabbing Incident

A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in the Mill Road area of Newtownabbey in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday September 27th, have made an arrest.

At approximately 1.10am this morning, police received a report that two people had been stabbed at a property. Officers attended and windows had been broken at this property also. One of the victims, a man, suffered a puncture wound to his left leg, the other female victim suffered a laceration to her head. Both were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. He remains in custody at this time.

Sergeant Donald said: "Our investigation is underway and we are appealing to anyone with any information that can assist us to contact 101 quoting reference number 52 27/09/22."

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Three Arrested After Man Dies In Stabbing Attack
Three men have been arrested following a stabbing attack in Craigavon, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 45-year-old man was stabbed at a house in Parkmore. He was taken to hospital but later died from his injuries. The man's name has not yet been released. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested Following Two Stabbing Incidents In Belfast
A 27-year-old man has been arrested following two stabbing incidents in Belfast city centre. The injuries to both victims are not believed to be life-threatening. Inspector Donna McGrady said police were alerted at about 1.15am by a member of the public on Bedford Street to a fight going on in the area.
