Damien Heagney Investigation: Suspected Human Remain Discovered
Police investigating the disappearance and possible murder of Damien Heagney have uncovered suspected human remains in County Tyrone.
According to reports, the suspected remains were discovered during a search of a reservoir in Cappagh.
Mr Heagney (47) was reported missing in July, however it is understood that the Cookstown man was last seen in Dromore on New Year's Eve.
Earlier this week Crimestoppers offered a £20,000 reward for information leading to a prosecution in the disappearance and murder of Mr Heagney.
Police have said that further information on today's discovery will be issued and that their investigation is ongoing.

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation into the disappearance of 47-year-old Damien Heagney from Cookstown. Mr Heagney was reported missing on Tuesday 19 July and police have said that they are "keeping an open mind" they now believe that he has been murdered.

Man Detained In Connection With Damien Heagney Murder
A 39-year-old man has been detained in connection with the murder of Damien Heagney. The PSNI have reported that the man was produced from prison this morning and will be interviewed at Antrim police station. The remains of Mr Heagney were recovered from a reservoir in Cappagh on Wednesday 10 August.

Man Charged With 1994 Murder
A man has been charged with the murder of a postal worker in 1994. The 60-year-old faces a series of charges relating to the death of Francis Damien Kerr, who was shot dead when masked raiders stormed the postal sorting office in Newry, County Down on 10 November 1994. The Provisional IRA was blamed for the attack.

Suspected Firearm And Drugs Seized In PSNI Searches
A suspected firearm and large quantity of suspected Class B drugs have been seized by the PSNI during a major search operation in L'Derry and Antrim. Led by North West Criminal Investigation, the operation involved three searches at addresses in L'Derry and a fourth search at an address in Antrim on Monday, 17 June.
