Cash And Drugs Seized In Newtownabbey

Cash and suspected Class B drugs have been seized in Newtownabbey as part of an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the South East Antrim UDA.

Detective Superintendent Neill said: "Following proactive searches of two residential properties in the Rathcoole area of Newtownabbey, we recovered an amount of cash and drugs and our investigation is ongoing.

"These searches and seizures are a demonstration of the PCTF's commitment to tackle all types of organised criminality linked to paramilitaries.

"I would like to thank the community for their continued support as we work to remove drugs which could have caused harm and addiction issues.

"I also appeal to anyone with information regarding any form of criminality, to call us in confidence on 101, or to submit a report online using our non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

Injured Dogs, Cash And Suspected Drugs Seized During Searches
A quantity of suspected cannabis, drugs paraphernalia and over £10,000 in cash has been seized during searches on Tuesday, 13 April, by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF). A number of dogs were also seized following welfare concerns and serious injuries. The dogs are now receiving veterinary treatment.

The PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force has recovered quantities of suspected drugs and £20,000 in cash during searches in L'Derry. The discovery in the Cityside area on Tuesday 10 December was part of a two-day joint operation with An Garda Siochana targeting criminality linked to the INLA.

Two Men Charged Over Suspected Drugs Find
Two men have been charged in connection with a suspected drugs find in Belfast. Police seized cocaine and herbal cannabis, worth an estimated street value of £160,000, after stopping a car in the Duncrue Street area on Wednesday night, 08 February.
