Work To Start On £7.5m Project In Coleraine
A £1.75 million project to create a shared cycle and footway on the A29 Ring Road in Coleraine is to commence on Monday 18 July 2022.
Resurfacing work
The improvement scheme extends a distance of approximately 2.4kms along the A29 Ring Road, Coleraine from Beechfield Park to Portrush Road Roundabout. The work will also include resurfacing of the carriageway.
Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd said: "I am committed to increasing opportunities for active travel. This significant investment in a new cycleway - footway on the A29 Ring Round will greatly enhance provision for cyclists and pedestrians in the area. The associated resurfacing works will also deliver benefits for road users.
"I would like to thank the travelling public and local residents in advance for their cooperation and ask that they comply with all temporary traffic restrictions while these much needed works are completed."
To facilitate the work the Ring Road temporary traffic management will be in place from 18 July 2022 for a period of 28 weeks.

A2 Bangor Ring Road Resurfaced
Work on a £125,000 resurfacing scheme at the Bloomfield Road Roundabout on the A2 Bangor Ring Road, Co Down will start next week. The work, carried out by the Department for Regional Development's (DRD) Roads Service, will begin on Monday 4 October 2010 and is scheduled for completion in seven weeks.

Man Dies In Workplace Accident In Co Armagh
A man has died in a workplace accident in Co Armagh. It is believed the man was crushed by a road roller while a new road surface was being laid on the Bog Road, Forkhill, on Wednesday, 31 May. Police and the Health and Safety Executive have launched an investigation.
