Man Arrested In Connection With Violent Street Robbery
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a violent street robbery in the Ormeau Road area of south Belfast on Sunday 22 May.
Shortly before 7:50pm, it was reported that a man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s were outside a commercial premises when they were approached by two males. One of the men threatened the man with a knife and following a struggle, the two men punched and kicked the man to his face, head, stomach and back repeatedly as he lay on the ground. The woman was also kicked to the chest by one of the men as she tried to intervene. The men then made off with two mobile phones, a bank card and a sum of money following the incident.
One of the men is described as 6ft 3inches in height and was wearing a white coloured jacket and black tracksuit bottoms. The second man is described as being 5ft 8inches in height, of slim build and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.
A 23-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Appealing for information, Sergeant Adams said: "Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1659 22/05/22. Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

At about 7.20pm on Wednesday night two masked men forced their way into a house in the Springhill Park area of Strabane, where a 19-year-old man was beaten with a baseball bat before being shot in the leg. The victim remains in hospital.
