Man Shot In The Back In North Belfast
PSNI Detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of a shooting in north Belfast in the early hours of Tuesday, May 24.
It was reported shortly before 12:20am that a man, aged in his thirties, had been shot in the back in the Westland Way area. He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
A suspect, described as slim and dressed all in dark clothing with a mask on and a hood drawn tight over his face, is believed to have fled the area on foot in the direction of Westland Road.
Detective Sergeant Dougherty said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have dashcam or other footage, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 22 of 24/5/22.
"Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
"You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org/."

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of a serious assault in east Belfast in the early hours of Friday, 13 January. Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant McCartan said: "It was reported that sometime between 1am and 2am, a man, aged in his twenties, was assaulted by three men in the Beersbridge Road area.

Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Lead Hill Park area of east Belfast on Thursday evening, 17 October. According to police, a window was smashed and entry was gained to the property around 8:25pm. The house was thoroughly ransacked, resulting in the loss of a significant amount of money, jewellery, and antiques.
