66-Year-Old Man Charged With Alyson Nelson Murder
A 66-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday 20 April, charged with the murder of Alyson Nelson.
The 64-year-old woman was pronounced dead at a house in Victoria Avenue in Whitehead, Country Antrim.
Emergency services had responded to the scene following reports of a stabbing on Saturday 16 April.
The PSNI said that as is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in L'Derry. The incident occurred in the Gobnascale area on Saturday, 17 April. A police officer sustained knife wounds to his arm and head during the attack and was treated in hospital. A man also suffered a chest injury after a police firearm was discharged.
