Civil Service Launches Recruit Campaign
The Civil Service has announced a campaign to recruit 400 middle managers at Staff Officer grade, offering an attractive benefits package and a starting salary of £32,328 per annum.
Staff Officers play an important part in delivering business objectives and services. They work across a number of areas such as contributing to the development and delivery of policy, drafting input into research documents, briefings and submissions, operational delivery of significant citizen centred services or processes, providing advice, recommendations and support to managers as well as stakeholder engagement.
The recruitment campaign is to fill roles in Civil Service Departments at a number of locations.
Applications close at 12 noon on 8th April 2022.

A new Civil Service recruitment campaign, offering graduates the opportunity to realise their leadership potential, has been launched by Finance Minister Conor Murphy and Head of the Civil Service Jayne Brady. The four-year programme will offer 30 graduates a place on an accelerated leadership development path.

SDLP 'Not Planning' For Job Losses
There's been an angry reaction to news of expected job losses within the Planning Service. After the news that the construction downturn has left the jobs in jeopardy was revealed at the weekend, SDLP Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA Tommy Gallagher has reacted angrily to the news that cut backs may well leave more local people unemployed.

'No Bonuses' For Public Sector Bosses
Senior Northern Ireland civil servants will not receive bonuses this year, The Stormont Finance Minister Sammy Wilson has said. Mr Wilson said he had considered all "relevant factors" - including public debate over public sector pay - and decided to cut the award scheme to top level workers.
