RYOBI wins first ever Carrick business award

Ryobi Aluminium Casting (UK) Ltd has been awarded the first Carrickfergus Environment Business Award sponsored by the DOE Environment and Heritage Service (EHS).

At the ceremony last night, hosted by the Borough Council to celebrate successful companies and organisations and the people behind them who have contributed to the energy of the Borough, Richard Rogers, the Chief Executive of EHS, presented the Ryobi representatives with their award.

EHS is the sponsor of the ‘Environment Award’ in the form of a £1,000 (plus VAT) contribution and Richard Rogers said: "As the custodian of Carrickfergus Castle, one of Northern Ireland’s most well known tourist attractions and a great marketing symbol for Carrickfergus (used in the Borough logo and that of the Local Strategy Partnership), the Environment and Heritage Service has a major interest and investment in the success of the Borough of Carrickfergus."

Ryobi is a Japanese owned company, manufacturing high-pressure aluminium die cast components for the automotive industry. The company currently supplies some of the world’s largest car manufacturers, including Ford, Saab, Isuzu and Jaguar.
