Households Offered £350 A Month To House Ukrainian Refugees
The UK Government's Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has announced a scheme offering households £350 a month to home Ukrainian refugees.
The scheme is open to all households across the UK, including NI, and is understood to run for up to 6 months.
The Northern Ireland Executive Office has encouraged interested households to make expressions of interest in providing accommodation from both individuals and groups on the dedicated website, when it goes live.

Executive Agree To Resettle Fleeing Afghan Refugees
The Executive has agreed a number of measures to help vulnerable people fleeing Afghanistan and resettle in Northern Ireland. The First Minister and deputy First Minister are writing to PM Boris Johnson advising him of the Executive's commitment to assist with the humanitarian crisis by taking Afghan refugees arriving under resettlement schemes.

Number Of NI Children In Workless Households Highest In UK
Northern Ireland has the highest percentage of children living in long-term workless households across the UK for the third year in a row, a study has found. According to the Office for National Statistics, some 14.5% of children lived in a house where all occupants aged 16 or over did not work last year.
