NI postman collects £1m on scratchcard

A Co Antrim man has won £1 million after buying a £5 scratchcard from a local petrol station.

Robin Green from Carrickfergus currently works as a postman for Royal Mail but has been given time off to consider his future.

The 37-year-old, who is married with two young sons, said he wouldn't be making any hasty decisions with regard his future.

"The big decision is whether I continue as a postman - the job I've been doing for the past 18 years," he said.

"Louise [Robin's wife] may give up her job as an auxiliary nurse, so she can spend more time with the boys. My priority will be to invest the money sensibly to secure the future - particularly for the boys."

Amazingly this was Robin's second Lottery win. Several years ago he won over £700, which he said went towards his wedding.
