26-Year-Old Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 26-year-old man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court charged with the attempted murder of a man in the County Down city.
The PSNI has said that the charge relates to a serious assault in the Windsor Manor area of the city. The victim remains in hospital being treated for his injuries.
It is understood that the accused will appear via video-link.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Man Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the murder of loyalist George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. A 32-year-old man arrested on Sunday, 19 March, has been released.

Seven Charged With Strickland Murder
A fourth man has been charged with the murder of Phillip Strickland in Comber last week, bringing the total to seven. The 36-year-old was found in a car on Quarry Road, off the Ballydrain Road, near Comber on Wednesday last. He had been shot several times and was declared dead in hospital a short time later.

Omagh bomb suspect formally charged with 29 murders
A Co Armagh man has been formally charged with the murders of 29 people in the 1998 Omagh bombing. Sean Gerard Hoey, 35, from Jonesborough, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Thursday and stood during the 10 minute hearing during which he was also charged with possessing explosives and causing an explosion.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.
