Eamonn Holmes Joins GB News
NI TV presenter Eamonn Holmes is joining GB News to host a new programme.
The Belfast man joins from ITV, where he has anchored This Morning for 15 years.
He spent 12 years co-presenting GMTV and 11 years hosting Sunrise at Sky News.
In a career spanning more than 40 years, Eamonn has presented a vast array of programmes including game shows, panel shows, sports events, documentaries, news and current affairs, religious programmes, and children's shows.
He is widely known as a radio host, having presented his own programmes on numerous stations including Radio 5 Live, Magic, BBC Radio 2, and talkRADIO.
He was named Best Breakfast TV Presenter in the Radio Times awards in 2017 after a vote by more than 33,000 viewers and was appointed an OBE for services to broadcasting in the Queen’s New Year Honours in 2018.
He said: "I've spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the most exciting yet. It's just the kind of shake-up the industry needs.”
"I've admired GB News from the beginning for its clever mix of punchy debate but delivered with warmth and even some fun. To me the greatest honour in journalism is to give a voice and respect to the unheard, and that’s exactly what GB News is all about."
