DUP Urges 'Everyone To Get Their Vaccine'

DUP Leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson MP has called on "everyone to get their vaccine".

Sir Jeffrey said that is is the "best defence against the virus".

He said: "We want to see everyone getting their vaccine. Their first, second and third jabs. That is our best defence against the virus.

"As we wait for more information about the Omicron variant, we must follow the scientific and medical guidance. Everyone should do likewise. I want all of my colleagues to support public health messaging.

"Unless exempt, everyone should get their jab and wear their face covering and help protect each other."

L'Derry Shooting - Man Arrested
A man who was at the centre of a cross-border manhunt following a shooting in L'Derry last week has been arrested. Kieran McLaughlin was captured by the PSNI following a six-day operation that ended at Fern Park in the Galliagh area of the city.

Man Shot In L'Derry
A man has been shot dead at a flat in L'Derry City. Emergency crews were called to the scene in Shipquay Street at about 11:00 on Thursday morning. The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed. SDLP MLA for Foyle Pat Ramsey said: "This is an appalling and disgraceful incident.
