Two Men Charged With Attempted Murder And Kidnap

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and kidnap after a seriously injured man was discovered in a field in Co Antrim.

The charges relate to an incident on 11 October when a injured man was found in the field on the Lisnamurrikin Road in Broughshane.

The men, aged 38 and 39, are to appear via video link before Ballymena Magistrates Court today, 02 December.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Stabbing At Belfast College
Two people have been stabbed in an incident at the Millfield campus of Belfast Metropolitan College. One of the injured men is described as being in a critical condition, according to reports. The second injured man is understood to have been detained by police at the scene of the incident and is being treated as a suspect.

Officer injured in hammer assault
A police officer has been injured after being struck with a hammer in Co Armagh at the weekend. The incident occurred after officers were called to the Thomas Street area of Portadown on Sunday after a Portuguese man reported damage to his car. When officers arrived they saw a man being assaulted in a separate incident nearby.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. The victim, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition after being assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. The suspect is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates' Court on Monday, 17 October.

Man Charged With Murder Of Mark Lamont
A man has been charged with murder after a man died from his injuries following an attack in Coleraine. Mark Lamont, 54, was critically injured after being assaulted outside a house on the Ballycastle Road in September. He died in hospital on Tuesday, 12 October. The suspect is to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 13 October.
