Man questioned in connection with teenager's murder
A man is being questioned by police in connection with the murder of a teenage girl in west Belfast.
Megan McAlorum's body was found on a desolate stretch of land, in an area of forest, half a mile from her Dunmurry home on Monday.
The man was arrested on Tuesday after Megan's parents made an emotional plea for help in finding her killer.
Detective Chief Inspector Raymond Murray said officers were trying to trace Megan's last movements before she went missing, specifically on Sunday night.
She was last known to have been in a local pub called the Hunting Lodge. She is then believed to have left at around midnight alone.
Anyone who may have witnessed Megan or knows of her last whereabouts are asked to contact police on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
