Man Dies After Being Struck By Car In Downpatrick Retail Park

Police have issued an appeal for information after a man died after being struck by a car in Downpatrick, County Down.

The man was hit by a car at the Downe Retail Park on Ballydugan Road at about 8.30pm last night.

Emergency services attended the retail park but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact police.

An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Arrested Over Paramilitary-Style Shooting In L'Derry
A man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting in Co L'Derry. A 33-year-old man was shot in the legs and abdomen in the Lisfannon Park area on Tuesday, 08 August. Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". The 43-year-old suspect was detained in L'Derry on Tuesday, 15 August.
