Fire At Antrim Industrial Estate To Be Investigated

An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at an industrial estate in Antrim.

Emergency services responded to reports of a fire at the Rathenraw Industrial Estate at about 8.35pm on Tuesday, 19 October.

According to reports, a lorry at the estate was found to be on fire, spreading to another vehicle said to have contained plastic, before spreading to approximately 30 other trailers.

At the height of the fire, six appliances from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) and 38 firefighters were at the scene.

Work is now underway to establish the cause of the fire.

Tyre Blaze May Have Been Deliberate
The huge fire that broke out in a tyre depot in Co Londonderry overnight may have been arson. The Fire Service is investigating if the blaze could have been deliberate and the police have also appealed for information to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity.

Man Dies In Incident At Linden Foods In Dungannon
A man has died in an incident at Linden Foods at Granville Industrial Estate, Dungannon, County Tyrone. According to reports emergency services were called to the factory earlier today, Thursday 05 August. Police have confirmed that a man has died and that an investigation has been launched, but no further information is being made available.

Firefighters Tackle Blaze At Carnbrae Industrial Estate
Around 40 firefighters are tackling a blaze at an industrial estate on the outskirts of Newry. The fire is at one unit in the Carnbrae Industrial Estate. Four fire engines are at the scene as well as two aerial appliances. A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said: "The incident is likely to continue for most of today.

Fire Crews Tackle Industrial Recycling Plant Fire
An industrial recycling plant in Omagh, Co Tyrone, is on fire, with more than 50 firefighters at the scene. It is understood the fire broke out at RecyCo, on the Barony Road, Mountfield, in the early hours of Monday morning.
