Man Struck With A Hammer During Aggravated Burglary

Police in East Belfast have issued an appeal for information following an alleged aggravated burglary.

A man, aged in his 20s, is being treated in hospital after he was struck over the head with a hammer during an incident in the Mount area of the Belfast in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to police, two men, one armed with a hammer, forced entry into a property at around 4am on Tuesday 28 September. The victim was assaulted by the men during the incident, requiring hospital treatment.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old in connection with the incident and he remains in custody.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious, is asked to contact police.

Police make hammer attack appeal
Police are appealing for information following a hammer attack in Co Londonderry on Thursday morning. The incident occurred at a house in Fairhill Park in Maghera at about 4.45am, when a man was attacked by two other men. The assailants then escaped in the victim’s car, which was later found crashed a short distance away.

Man Attacked By Masked Men Armed With Hammer
A man has required hospital treatment after he was beaten with a hammer during an aggravated burglary in Ahoghill, County Antrim. Police responded to the incident on Brook Street last night, Thursday 03 May at 11pm. Three masked men forced their way into the home and attacked the victim, a male aged in his 30s, who was home alone at the time.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Police launch murder inquiry in Moneymore
Police are appealing for information after a man was found dead in Co Londonderry. The 37-year-old man, who is of Asian origin, is believed to have been attacked at Rockview Park in Moneymore on Sunday. The man succumbed to severe head injuries on Tuesday. Two men have already appeared in court on Tuesday in connection with the incident.
