Body of missing woman found

A body found in Co Tyrone on Monday has been confirmed as that of missing woman Attracta Harron.

The Strabane pensioner disappeared on December 11 2003 while returning from Mass in Co Donegal.

Police confirmed her body had been found buried in countryside near Sion Mills.

A postmortem examination is due to be carried out on the body later today.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with her murder.

Police Appeal For Parents Of Baby Found Dead In 1984
Police have issued an appeal for the parents of a baby boy found dead on the banks of the River Lagan on 21 February 1984. A woman out walking her dog found the babies body inside a green plastic bag at Legacurry Road in Lisburn 30 years ago. A post-mortem examination found that the baby had died of head injuries.

Teenage girl found dead in County Donegal
A teenage girl has been found dead, and another girl unconscious, in a field near Lifford in County Donegal. The alarm was raised at around 10am, when police received a call that two girls were lying in a field in Ballindrait, two miles away from Lifford.

Co Fermanagh Man Dies In Sligo Rally Crash
Two drivers have died in a crash in a County Sligo rally. Daire Maguire from County Fermanagh and Gene McDonald were killed when the car they were racing in hit a wall in Ballymote at around 3pm on Sunday, 16 July. The incident happened during the sixth stage of the Sligo Stages Rally. No other car was involved.
