First Dose Vaccines Still Available

First dose Covid-19 vaccinations are still available from mobile vaccination clinics, the Department of Health have reported.

Vaccination is also available by appointment for the Moderna vaccine at around 50 participating community pharmacies with more pharmacies expected to be joining the programme. Further details on pharmacy bookings are available on the Health and Care NI website.

You can continue to get your second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at any of Northern Ireland's regional vaccination centres. Further information is available on NI Direct.

Pop-Up Walk-In Vaccination Clinics To Continue Into September
Pop-up walk-in vaccination clinics will continue throughout August and into September while a number of community pharmacies are offering Moderna vaccine first dose appointments across Northern Ireland.

Progress Of NI's Vaccination Programme Welcomed
The Health Minister Robin Swann has welcomed the continued progress in NI's vaccination programme. The Jabbathon student jab initiative continues with walk-in clinics at university and FE college campuses. Vaccines are also to be provided at the Balmoral Show, with a walk-in clinic running every day.

Over 88% Of Cancer Patients Begin Treatment Within 31 Days
Over 88% of people diagnosed with cancer began treatment within the 31 day target in the four months to September 2022, up from 86% in the previous four months. The Department of Health today published the Northern Ireland Cancer Waiting Times Statistics Release for the quarter ending September 2022.

Driving Tests Increase By 13% In September
The Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) received 6,661 driving test applications in September, 13% higher than in August (5,872) and some 37% higher than the five year September average (4,888). This is according to the latest 'DVA Monthly Tests Conducted Statistics – September 2021' report.
