Man Arrested Over Racially Motivated Crimes
A man has been arrested in relation to a series of racially motivated crimes in north Belfast.
Properties were damaged in the Ainsworth and Woodvale Avenue areas on 31 July and 11 August.
The 42 year-old suspect has been detained on suspicion of burglary, intimidation and criminal damage.
He remains in police custody.

Last year nearly 30,000 domestic motivated incidents took place in Northern Ireland, with around five people each year killed by a partner, ex-partner or close family member, according to the Department of Justice (DoJ). The figures were revealed by the department at the launch of a new consultation on Domestic Homicide Reviews.

Racially Motivated Hate Crime In South Belfast
Police are investigating a racially motivated hate crime that occurred in the Roden Street area of south Belfast on Monday, 4th November. At approximately 7:40pm, a large piece of masonry was hurled through the window of a family home, causing significant damage and injuring a young child and their mother.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a racially motivated hate crime in Castlereagh on the evening of Sunday, 11 August. At around 7.15pm, a man was walking in a park near Manse Road when he was approached by six young people, who shouted abuse and intimidated him.

Man Assaulted In Racially Motivated Hate Crime
A man has sustained bruising after he was assaulted by a gang of masked men armed with baseball bats during an aggravated burglary in east Belfast. Police are treating the incident in the Knock Grove area on Sunday 08 March as a racially motivated hate crime. A woman and small child escaped uninjured but have been left badly shaken.

Paint Bombs Thrown In Race Motivated Hate Crime
Police are treating a paint bomb attack on a house in Newtownabbey as a racially motivated hate crime. Two men, two women and a young child were inside the Fernagh Avenue house when it was targeted in the early hours of Sunday morning, 24 November. Red paint was splattered over the front of the property at around 00.25am.
