Late Night Bus And Train Services To Return For Christmas

Translink NI have announced that late night bus and train services will return for the Christmas period this year.

The extended services were first trialled in 2019 and Translink have said they are bringing the services back to support the hospitality industry.

Speaking to BBC News NI Translink said: "With a further easing of restrictions and an increase in demand expected, we aim to relaunch additional late-night departures once again to support the hospitality industry on the approach to Christmas."

Translink added that they are also "actively recruiting and training drivers".

No details have been been released on what services will be offered.

Train Services Disrupted Over Suspected Bomb Alert
Train services in Lurgan, Co Armagh, have been disrupted after police received a phone call warning that a device had been left on the rail tracks. Police were called to the Bells Row area on Wednesday night. A bus service between Lisburn and Moira has been put in place, however Translink has warned passengers to expect some disruption.
