Appeal Issued For Two Missing Teenage Girls

The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of two teenage girls, Sophie Hamilton and Anastasia Loginova.

Sophie, aged 17, was last seen leaving Altnagelvin Hospital in L'Derry just before 4pm on Thursday, August 12.

Sophie is described as being of slight build and approximately 5' 3" tall and was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a grey and navy hooded jacket and black and white trainers.

Anastasia, aged 14, has been missing from the Waterside area of the city since Friday, August 13.

Anastasia is described as being of slim build and approximately 5' 1" tall. She was last seen wearing a dark green jumper, black leggings and black shoes.

It is believed that both girls have travelled to the Belfast area.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1236 of 12/08/21.

New Programme To Inspire Girls To Pursue Maths
A new programme to inspire girls in Northern Ireland to continue their pursuit of maths has been launched by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and professional services firm PwC. According to a recent survey Northern Ireland parents have become more diverse in terms of first names they have given their babies. The research revealed that in 2011, there were approximately 2,200 girls' and 1,600 boys' names used; compared with 1,600 girls' and 1,000 boys' names in 2001.

Appeal Issued For Missing Teenager Julieanne Duffy McGrogan
Police have issued an appeal to trace missing 14-year-old Julieanne Duffy McGrogan. She was last seen wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black top and black trainers and may have travelled to Armagh. A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police and the family of 14 year old Julieanne Duffy McGrogan are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Teenage Girls Arrested In Connection With Co Down Assault
Two teenage girls, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested in connection with an assault in County Down on Saturday, 17 June. On the evening of 17 June, police received reports of up to 40 young people gathered in the Banks Lane car park area of Ballyholme.
