Investigations Launched After Attacks On Homes In Coleraine And Belfast
Investigations have been launched following separate attacks on homes in Coleraine and Belfast.
At about 2am this morning a resident on Ballysally Road, Coleraine, reported hearing "loud bangs" and discovered a number of broken windows. Police have said that they believe the reported "loud bangs" to have been gunshots.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Separately, police are investigating an incident in north Belfast after a number of men armed with hammers attacked a house on Woodvale Avenue. A number of windows were smashed throughout the house, however no-one was home at the time of the attack.
The incident occurred at about 9pm last night, Wednesday 11 August.
Police have appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact them.

Man And Woman Shot In West Belfast
A man and woman, aged in their 50s, have been shot in the legs in west Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Norglen Parade shortly after 6.15pm on Thursday, 12 January. The victims, understood to be husband and wife, were taken to hospital to be treated, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

'Malicious' fires in west Belfast
Police in west Belfast are investigating two suspected arson attacks within the last 24-hours. The first incident was reported at around 9pm yesterday evening, when emergency services were alerted to a blaze at a house in the Gartree Place area of Andersonstown. No one was in the property at the time.

Severe Winds Cause Chaos
The Met Office has predicted severe gales across Northern Ireland today. Gusts of over 90 mph may hit some areas and a severe weather warning has been announced for Tuesday. Many roads have been closed because of trees falling and a number of power lines have also been damaged.
