Man Who Died At Linden Foods Named

The man who died in a workplace incident at food processing firm Linden Foods in Dungannon, County Tyrone, has been named as Allister Kelly.

Mr Kelly died in an incident at the factory on Granville Industrial Estate on Thursday morning.

The Health and Safety Executive are investigating the circumstances surrounding Mr Kelly's death.

Sinn Féin MP Michelle Gildernew has said the community is in shock following the death of a man at a food processing plant in Dungannon.

The Fermanagh South Tyrone MP said: "I was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of a man at the Linden Foods plant in Dungannon.

"An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of his death.

"My thoughts are with the family, friends and loved ones of this man who are receiving the awful news of his tragic death."

Lucas Da Costa, 42, who is originally from East Timor, was struck by falling pallets at the company's factory in Dungannon in February 2010.

Man Dies In Incident At Linden Foods In Dungannon
A man has died in an incident at Linden Foods at Granville Industrial Estate, Dungannon, County Tyrone. According to reports emergency services were called to the factory earlier today, Thursday 05 August. Police have confirmed that a man has died and that an investigation has been launched, but no further information is being made available.

Two Men Arrested Over Alleged Death Threats To Darren Kelly
Two men have been arrested over alleged death threats sent to Oldham manager Darren Kelly from Northern Ireland. Greater Manchester Police arrested a 27-year-old man and 42-year-old man on suspicion of making threats to kill. They are being detained by the police for questioning.
