Appeal For Information After Bullet Found Lodged In Front Door

Police have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in west Belfast.

According to police, a resident at an address on Lisvarna Heights reported hearing a "loud bang" outside their home at around 11pm on Sunday 01 August. The following morning the resident subsequently found a bullet lodged in their front door.

Police have described the incident as "a reckless attack, which could have had serious consequences".

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact police. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Arson Attack In North Belfast
Two men have been treated for smoke inhalation following an arson attack at a house in north Belfast. The incident happened at a property on the Ligoniel Road on Wednesday, 12 October. The front door was set on fire and significant damage was caused.

Police Appeal For Information On Incident On Limestone Road
Police have issued an appeal for information on an incident on the Limestone Road in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 15 June. Shortly before 1.30am this morning, officers were called to the junction of the Limestone Road and North Queen Street following reports that a man "had entered a parked car".

Police Appeal For Information To L'Derry Shooting Incident
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in L'Derry on Tuesday, 24 July. It is understood the incident began shortly before 7am on Monday, 25 July, when a silver Peugeot rammed a black car near the entrance to Sevenoaks.
