NIE To Discuss Reopening Of Venues And Theatres

The Executive is set to meet today, Monday 26 July, to discuss the potential reopening of concert venues and theatres.

Ministers had been due to announce a decision last Thursday but delayed the move, stating that they "wanted more information about the risks".

It follows further easing of other restrictions, with an increase in the number of people who can meet in private gardens; 15 people from unlimited households can meet outdoors; and close-contact services can open without the need for pre-booked appointments.

The changes come as the Department of Health reports 1,264 new positive cases on Sunday.
