Linfield Take Commanding Lead In European Qualifer
Linfield have taken a major step into the next round of the Europa Conference League qualifiers after a dominant first-leg win against Bosnian side Borac Banja Luka at Windsor Park last night, 22 July.
The Blues put four goals past Borac in a convincing 4–0 win ahead of the second leg in Bosnia next week.
Michael Newberry gave Linfield an early lead, before Christy Manzinga doubled the score. The second half saw Linfield increase their lead to three courtesy of Jamie Mulgrew, with Jimmy Callacher sealing the dominant display with an injury-time goal.
David Healy's side dropped down to the Europa Conference after last week's Champions League exit, but responded with last night's exciting display for home fans.
If Linfield progress, they will play Belarusia's Shakhtyor Soligorsk or Fola Esch of Luxembourg in the third qualifying round.

Battle of the Blues set for Belfast
Scottish football giants, Glasgow Rangers were in Belfast today ahead of tonight's friendly against local side Linfield. The match, which takes place at Windsor Park, will see the treble winning side parade all three major trophies - League, Scottish Cup and League Cup - they won during last year's domestic season.

Lead Shot 'Fired'

There are not enough services to support men with prostate cancer in Northern Ireland, with many having to deal with life-changing side effects of treatment alone, according to a UK charity. Prostate Cancer UK is today launching its Quality Checklist in Northern Ireland, which details what men with prostate cancer should expect.

Defibrillator Stolen From Parked Ambulance
A privately-operated ambulance has been broken into and a defibrillator stolen when it was parked at Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry. It is believed that the drivers side window was smashed on Monday. The damage and theft, which included a sat nav and two mobile phones, was not noticed until Tuesday.
