PSNI Investigate Reports Of Sectarian Chanting At Carrickhill

Police are investigating reports of sectarian chanting passing Carrickhill yesterday, 12 July.

The incident was reported on the interface area of Millfield and Carrickhill following the Twelfth parades.

Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín has condemned the reported chanting and called for a thorough and robust investigation.

"Residents should not have to put up with this type of hatred and should be able to feel at safe in their own homes," the North Belfast MLA said.

"There is no place for sectarianism in our society and those responsible for this sectarian hatred must be brought to book."
