Dept For Infrastructure Roll Out New Electric Vans
Two new electric vans have been introduced to the Department for Infrastructure as part of Minister Nichola Mallon's drive to reduce carbon emissions.
Announcing the new vehicles, Minister Mallon said: "I have an ambitious vision for a low carbon future and I am committed to delivering cleaner, greener, sustainable infrastructure. If we are serious about this very important issue, leadership is needed to drive this programme forward.
"Today is another step forward towards the use of low carbon vehicles for operational business in my Department.
"Indeed across my portfolio, I am pleased that my Department and its Arms-Length Bodies in NI Water and Translink are making the same moves towards the use of electric vehicles.
"These are the changes we need to see to help us tackle climate change and contribute to better health outcomes for all our population. I will continue to make positive steps to choose cleaner, greener travel."
