Police Appeal For Information On Incident On Limestone Road
Police have issued an appeal for information on an incident on the Limestone Road in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 15 June.
Shortly before 1.30am this morning, officers were called to the junction of the Limestone Road and North Queen Street following reports that a man "had entered a parked car". When they arrived at the scene, police found an unconscious man with a head injury.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he is continuing to receive treatment.
A short time later, police arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Officers are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident and have appealed to anyone who was in the Limestone Road area at around 1.20am, and who may have witnessed or captured the incident on dash-cam, to contact police in Tennent Street on 101 quoting reference number 71 15/06/21.

Following another weekend of violence, north Belfast SDLP Assembly Member Alban Maginness has called on the Ulster Defence Association to renew their ceasefire. Disturbances at north Belfast flashpoints have left 23 police officers injured in an orgy of rioting on the city’s streets.

Three people have escaped injury in a shooting incident in County Armagh when two shots, thought to have come from a shotgun, were fired at the back of house at Legahory Court, in Craigavon. Two men and a woman were in a back room of the house at the time of the incident, which happened around 2am on Monday October 15.
