Two Men Released Over Attempted Murder Of A Police Officer

Two men arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer have been released.

The men, aged 36 and 44, were detained in L'Derry on Friday.

They were questioned over the attempted murder of a part-time officer in Dungiven last month.

The New IRA has claimed responsibility.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of an off duty police officer in L'Derry. A viable under car bomb was found outside the house of the officer in the Ardanlee area on 22 February. The suspects are aged 43 and 59.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in Belfast. The community officer sustained two bullet wounds to his arm after a number of shots were fired at a petrol station on the Crumlin Road on 22 January.
