Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Adrian Donohoe

A man has been arrested by Gardai investigating the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe in January 2013.

The suspect was detained in the Dundalk area shortly before 8.30am on Monday, 19 April.

He is being held at Dundalk Garda Station.

Detective Donohoe was shot outside a credit union in Louth during a raid.

Aaron Brady, 29, was sentenced to life behind bars in August last year for the murder of Mr Donohoe.

PSNI Serious Crime Branch officers assisting with the investigation into the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe in January are continuing with their inquiries into the shooting. Gardai are investigating the murder of D/Garda Donohoe, which occurred on Friday 25 January at Bellurgan, near Dundalk.

PSNI Renews Garda Murder Appeal
The PSNI has renewed an appeal for information regarding the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe two weeks ago. PSNI detectives who are assisting colleagues in An Garda Siochana with the murder investigation have made a specific appeal about the movements of a car believed to have been used by the killers.

Belfast City Council has approved a proposal to name Lagan Gate bridge in south Belfast 'The Noah Donohoe Bridge'. The bridge's new name was agreed by councillors following an open public call for suggestions last year which resulted in more than 1,000 submissions in support of naming it after Noah.
