Ministers To Discuss Lockdown Easements

NI ministers are to meet today, 15 April, to discuss further relaxations in lockdown restrictions.

Close contact services such as hairdressers and beauticians will be allowed to open from 23 April, according to reports.

Driving tests are also expected to resume fro 23 April.

It is also expected that all retail will be given the go-ahead to open from 30 April.

Outdoor hospitality and gyms are due to open on 10 May.

The announcement of relaxations is expected to be confirmed later today.

Close Contact Services Open As Lockdown Restrictions Ease
Close-contact services such as hairdressers will be able to open their doors from today, 23 April, as further lockdown restrictions are eased. Driving lessons and tests can resume and outdoor visitor attractions can also open.

NI Man Charged Over 39 Trailer Deaths
A second man from Northern Ireland has appeared in court on charges connected to the mass fatality discovered in a lorry container in Grays, Essex last week. Eamon Harrison from Mayobridge in Co Down is charged with 39 offences of manslaughter, as well as human trafficking and immigration offences.
