NI Executive Considers 'Partial Reopening' Of Hospitality Sector
The hospitality sector is expected to 'partially reopen' pending agreement by the Northern Ireland Executive.
According to reports, cafes, restaurants and bars that serve food could reopen on Friday, when the latest 'circuit breaker' lockdown ends. However, so-called 'wet bars' (alcohol-only pubs) will remain closed for a further two weeks.
Ministers are understood to be discussing the partial reopening today, Monday 09 November.
Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill was speaking to the BBC on Sunday when she said that the sale of alcohol must be considered in their decision-making as "defences come down when alcohol is taken".
